I'm pretty sure they do but I will have to look the next time I fire up the game but I'm pretty disappointed with those in the current balancing right now. I watched one of those with the absorption and that nanotech upgrade just restore health constantly and kill an entire army by itself. Pretty disappointing to be honest because that was obviously a very cheesy strategy because everything else my opponent had died like right off the bat except for that thing which killed the entire force that I had so when I saw they were doing that I just left the game because it wasn't even fun anymore. Nothing could touch it even with EMP strikes

Why didn't you just use long range units behind chaff?

Lots of fangs and some kind of heavy hitter behind them works. Typhoons with shields and AA can also be surprisingly helpful. But generally you just want a lot of fangs that survive the initial chaff clear. This is my initial impression at least.

absorption melter gets shut down by raiden emp, duh

Mustangs seems to work well into them just add range and more damage and have plenty of chaff, lots of little enemies means they are going to way over kill stuff, back it up with giant of choice to counter their board.

Wasps with range+Anti Air works great.

For sure below 1600 lol. Probably not even 1000 as he thinks melters come with both absorption and field maintenance...

He probably never heard of emp, doesn't know chaff mechanics and never thought of just making chaff past round 3!

Melters have so many counters involving mass units like wasps, mustangs or outranging them like snipers and phoenix. Even by units it supposedly counters when those have the right tech.

Keep doing that low mmr strat until you reach high enough mmr that someone who actually can play counters you hard with a different unit.

game just has a lot of balance issues

im a game dev myself of 10+ years and a modder of over 20 years so i'm not shooting from the hip

the balance in this game is trash and others seem to agree. at least after the recent update.

10 of them.. what? How did you let him get 10 melting points? Just... what are you even talking about?

Go try it right now. Go queue for 1v1, and TRY and get 10 melters down without losing. Tell me how many attempts it takes, if you ever manage it at all.

Dude, every noob crying about entry-level skill-issues is a game-dev, math major or whatever.

And especially as a game dev you should know to listen to the more experienced playerbase, the people who know how the game is actually played.
