The sound effects are too loud : (
The sound effects of firebombs, atomic bombs, etc. are way too loud compared to the other sounds. It knocks me out of my chair every time and I always have to keep one hand near the volume control... In the long run it's really grueling.

You could try turning them down...

There is a sound effects specific volume control in the menu.

Unfortunately, the fader reduces all sound effects equally.

PUSH

I really like this game, but that one thing about the exaggerated volume of the explosion effects is really driving me crazy! The sound at the end of a round is also way too loud compared to normal sounds, such as gunshots.

Either I have to turn the volume down so that I can no longer hear the game (except the explosion effects) or it will knock me off my chair...

Unfortunately, the problem still persists. I used to produce electronic music, and from that experience, I suspect that you are doing your sound design using headphones. Extreme differences in dynamics are easier to 'tolerate' with headphones, but when you use them for sound design, you don't get a good result on speakers.
I'm not sure how seriously you take this problem, or if it's even a problem for you at all, but I recommend testing the game's sound on various speakers.
