aggro strat boring me out of this game so much...
all i see now is someone shoing all their units to one side and making the game so boring.

Solution: but a no man lands between the 2 sides so you can't just build right on the edge. Like 8 squares added to middle. Where no one can build.

I win 80% of matches where someone builds like this so its boring me to death. If i don't start seeing more creative moves i am gone from this game.

There will always be certain strategies that will be mindlessly copied regardless of how well they actually work. Because most players are lazy, don't want to think for themselves nor try out stuff on their own, so they copy what they see, either here or watching streamers/guides whatever. If you artificially ban one thing they'll just latch onto another one and repeat that ad nauseum.

You can't fight stupid. all you can do is beat them straight with something else. Today's game was against such a guy that tried to rush one side with balls and crawlers. He only won the very first round, and only so because he picked Marksman SPC and got lucky because I started with Arclight and Phoenix. Anyway, I outplayed him every subsequent round until he just gave up. Will he learn his lesson? Probably not but if he had won he wouldn't for sure.

Starting asymmetrically is neither a good nor bad strategy, you assure you win one side and at the same time forfeit the other. The hope is to kill the tower first and to kill more units with overwhelming numbers than you lose on the other side. This mostly works in the first round, but from then on the opponent will adapt. The "sidestuffer" has now a densly packed unit cluster and therefore vulnerable for any kind of AoE. He is also open for flank attacks and his strategy allows you to maximize early shield placing. Basically, if you know how to beat the Crawler/Ball combo in regular games, all you need to do is to stay calm and apply this to the side he is attacking.
And if you want to be mean and play with your meal you can save up and prepare a nasty double-drop of Level 2 Hackers for later rounds. Let him think his start works, bait and switch. Little bit dangerous but soooo much more satisfying :)

Isn't it more lazy to always play "standard"? Let's be real, the people complaining in this thread are low mmr noobs. They don't adapt to the meta.

Similarly, stupid can't be taught. They are here to vent, not to improve.

Yeah, the game isn't solved yet. Even at the top both aggro and more defensive setups are played.

I said that in general, I don't complain about side rushes and think it's a welcome addition and fresh air, however, I rarely see it due to my MMR (I guess) and don't think it's particularly effective. So, when someone experiences a siderush in 2 out of 3 games the people copying it ARE lazy because they copy a strat the see without evaluation if it works or not. Well, maybe it works in their region, who knows. My point about lazyness was not about the strategy itself.

Imagine being low MMR enough to post this while simultaneously not having fun with War Factory/Overlord nonsense.

Yeah I understand that, it looks like you were trying to help. I'm mostly saying that people who are venting don't want help, and noobs in particular can't be helped.

I get that, I'm just saying that I don't see aggro people whining about defensive starts. Seems like there are people who play standard and lose a lot to aggro but instead of switching it up they come here to whine about losing.

Rush is Great... for winning the rounds
But it damage the Gaming expiriance.

The base game is, that all units will move upwards.

Rush Mess this up. It hard to predict the movements.

Imagine you are a noob to Mechabellum, and you fqace this kind of setup.
iam sure you will swap this game

It's an autobattler. If there's PvP, the bulk of the playerbase will be chasing the same meta strategy all the time.

guy plays 5 games, bases entire opinion off of shallow experience. pathetic. Absolute Skill Issue.
