You can't fight stupid. all you can do is beat them straight with something else. Today's game was against such a guy that tried to rush one side with balls and crawlers. He only won the very first round, and only so because he picked Marksman SPC and got lucky because I started with Arclight and Phoenix. Anyway, I outplayed him every subsequent round until he just gave up. Will he learn his lesson? Probably not but if he had won he wouldn't for sure.
Starting asymmetrically is neither a good nor bad strategy, you assure you win one side and at the same time forfeit the other. The hope is to kill the tower first and to kill more units with overwhelming numbers than you lose on the other side. This mostly works in the first round, but from then on the opponent will adapt. The "sidestuffer" has now a densly packed unit cluster and therefore vulnerable for any kind of AoE. He is also open for flank attacks and his strategy allows you to maximize early shield placing. Basically, if you know how to beat the Crawler/Ball combo in regular games, all you need to do is to stay calm and apply this to the side he is attacking.
And if you want to be mean and play with your meal you can save up and prepare a nasty double-drop of Level 2 Hackers for later rounds. Let him think his start works, bait and switch. Little bit dangerous but soooo much more satisfying :)
Similarly, stupid can't be taught. They are here to vent, not to improve.
Yeah, the game isn't solved yet. Even at the top both aggro and more defensive setups are played.
I get that, I'm just saying that I don't see aggro people whining about defensive starts. Seems like there are people who play standard and lose a lot to aggro but instead of switching it up they come here to whine about losing.
But it damage the Gaming expiriance.
The base game is, that all units will move upwards.
Rush Mess this up. It hard to predict the movements.
Imagine you are a noob to Mechabellum, and you fqace this kind of setup.
iam sure you will swap this game
Then LEAVE. bye bye. nobody wants whiny complainers here lol. Learn or Leave.
