You can also try a mobile beacon to bait the missiles.
But other than that, there is no counterplay.
That's crazy. First time I hear there is no counterplay to something in this game. Mobile wont do much when they set up 4 pieces covering whole frontline.
Missile interceptor are just a bait because you invest way more than he did and shields are not reliable.
Not all missile interceptors have the same effectiveness. Most if not all of them also degrade in efficiency the more they fire that turn (not forever). So you either need to pick interceptors that are more efficient and less vulnerable or build more of them or more units that have the tech.
You can also emp the vulcans before your army advances past your shields so that there won't be much fire to walk into.
You didn't test it apparently. 2 stangs or 2 turrets fully block the fire from 1 vulcan. Factory + 1 turret fully blocks 2 vulcans. Against 6 vulcans you can make 2 factories + 6 turrets.
