Probably you need to practice more before facing othr real players.
Try first to win against AI and learn the Mechabellum mechanisms.

I've only been playing a few weeks and I've definitely lost hard a few times, but I always learnt something from losses and I'm slowly getting better. Matchmaking has been pretty good - once my starting MMR was established most games have been against people within 100 MMR of me, and I don't think I've had anyone more than 150 off.
If there was a smurf or two among them, does it even matter? Don't worry too much about trying to watch your MMR grow just yet. Just learn from losses, and take the opportunity to try new things out while there's not much pressure. Once you start to learn the game some more your MMR will naturally rise. And if you lose some MMR to a smurf along the way, hey, it's just an opportunity to have the game throw you a few easier matchups again :-)
From maybe 20 Matches there were maybe max. 2 Players that played excellent with their Playtime (called Power score). Excellent but still not that great - I would say around (700-950 MMR, felt like they were in general good (prepared?) tacticians rather smurfs). And there was only one player (somewhere above 50'000Power) I experienced out of all relatively new players (~55-70) who played suspiciously super good.
However - In my MMR area (~1300) after about 400hours gameplay or so I still experience such situations as you describe - Losing every round, experiencing a totally one sided match sometimes. This usually happen against players with a bit higher MMR than me but way less often if they 100-200 points bellow me and especially if I choose to play something risky or newly or if I'm in a bad mood.
And if I remember it right such situations happened to me way more often in 400-1000 MMR area since there were so many different strategies I just didnt understand how to counter them at all from the beginning on. So I got snowballed more easily.
In theory Smurf'ing should'nt be that much of a thing here since this game need's to payed a relatively good price for.
Yea even playing 2 vs 2 ai can help if your partner is better than you cause you can see their counters in real time. BUt now that they have added drop in replays you can spectate the best players and then play their rounds.
Ah, thats helpful and probably explains it for my situation.
If you are new to a game it might just be that you are temporarily the worst person in the entire game. If you don't know stuff like approximate movement speed of units or even what units you are buying then it's very unlikely that you will win even against an inebriated child.
And even if you stop losing hard the winrate is going to settle at 50/50 unless you are good enough to beat top players.
