They should really focus on improving the UI to be more informative when buying/selecting new units. Just have a pop up listing all the relevant info when howering over the buy menu.
Things that player should be able to see:
1.Range
2.Damage (preferrably with [number] X to indicate multiplicative for number of shots in burst or number of guns, such as with stormcallers or wraiths.
3.Firing delay
4.health
5.Speed
6.selected techs
Basically just list all the relevant info about the unit before player even buys them. There is literally no reason to hide or obscure the info from player. While some might argue memorising the stats is a form of skill, it is not desirable or necessary skill for the actual gameplay involved.
Agreed, I think it just makes the game tedious and does not respect the players' available time too. Since it seems the devs are designing the game to be more advantageous to those who have memorized or figured out the game's quirks by playing more in terms of time than that of others. Whereas a simple UI could address this or remove this tedium from the game.
