shop exp only goes up if you purchase things in the shop. so what are you in the testing grounds for?
if you mean just regular exp for levels to get shop currency then yeah free games usually have some sort of diminishing returns if you play alot so you cant just grind out the games shop too fast.
and who cares its a free in game shop that you dont even need to use
Those games are free to play card games, that use gold/coins/currency/whatever to pay for packs of cards. Hearthstone had 3 games(? might have been wins) and you get 10 coins, but after getting that 10 coins, 10 times, you could no longer get it. So not even lowered, just no longer able to get anymore at all.
But as for paid games, Call of duty games also generally have it, after getting a certain amount of exp per match for weapons and stuff, you get less.
This isn't a specific thing where only this game is doing it, you just are less likely to notice it other games because 1) you aren't looking for it, and 2) you're used to it.
