Yea feels like that to me too. Like I build a comp to counter what opponent has but then their comp randomly changes to counter what I have and I dont have time to react to such a big shift. So Im not sure how you are supposed to play it? So should you play it more like not trying to hard counter what they have at any moment, but try to make very rounded comp in order to be able to fight some big shifts in comp? I suppose Im also quite new to the game so I still need to learn a lot about how to counter different things. Like how in one game after blitzing through half their hackers the other half pretty much wiped half my army.
That is kinda sad. Like the randomness factor in this game is such a huge deal. I hope they manage to make it more balanced. On the other hand practice mode really needs some boost in difficulty.
But it's also true that there are a finite number of preset deployments used by the computer, with some variation to each of them depending on the cards drawn each round.
The thing I find most annoying is the computer's tendency to hit you with 8 Overlords + 6 Stormcallers + 2 Wasps + a ton of chaff + a Rhino for good measure.
Whenever I read a comment like this I imagine some imperious pre-diabetic brushing Cheeto crumbs off his fingers and cracking his knuckles before treating us all to his unsolicited opinion on which game modes are worthy and why everyone who disagrees with him is unskilled.
Keep crying baby cakes.
