Arclight spam is busted
A tier 1 unit should always have clear counters imo. Arclight spam ends up countering everything and not being really hard countered by anything.

Just remove the elite mod. It should not be there. It is bs it is there. Or remove the anti air mod.

A tier 1 unit should not be this versatile. Any other tier 1 has clear counters. Even tier 2. Arclight only has soft ones. It is plain bs.

Archlight loose to fang spam =) They don`t stop Rinoh and loose to forts. You should try to play with them more to see how to deal with them.

Well they never are ALONE. You can deal with any of that you mentioned with some light countering. They just get to points where they deal with fortress etc anyway.

Well you can prevent it altogether. If you just feed it XP by mindlessely spaming units ofc you`re gona loose.
A bunch of well-placed shields turn them intro potatoes. They can`t deal with Rinoh till overfeed and overteched, so its an option. Scorpions can snipe them. They are super vulnerable against EMP.

i hate this kind of response like no ♥♥♥♥ they arnt the only unit. it tells you just want nerfs instead of doing what everyone else does too counter arclight spam. its hardly used anymore cause most everyone knows how to counter its become risky to even attempt.
and instead of being all they will just counter my counters. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ counter their counters to your counter. its not over cause they placed a melting point or killed your fort with something pay attention and look at why they killed it or if you should have even placed one. or should you have placed it as a lvl 2.

identify what you need to win which is in this case arcs need to die so whats keeping you from doing that?

this is perfect advice try it find out what makes it weak. if they are rocking 4 or more arcs round 2 buy a fort turn 3. key is to shut it down as soon as possible if ya wait till they have all level 3 arcs you done in at that point. you dont even really need forts storms can shut it down too. just a little bit of splash damage and emp can work wonders. especial against a very tech reliant unit

Remembers me how i lost to a bunch of highleveled arclights with multiple (5-6?) lv 2 fortress and techs including fists.
But yeah those were pretty high level.

I think there is some merit as lvled up Arclights with dmg/air/elite marksman and range can snowball really badly countering almost everything and outanging most of the units.

Especially with some lucky cards (i member lvl 8 arclights with +17% hp from comms, +100 % heavy Arcs from cards, +30% to all from cards and + building upgrade stuff got more hp /dmg / range/ aoe / rate of fire then enemy lvl 3 fortressess). Depressing and hillarious.

I think maybe (one of those) 1) Elite marksman or dmg upgrade should increase reload time. 2) Projectile should not be a heatscan and lose velocity / dmg the further it travels 3) Heavy arclight should increase the cost? I mean its lowering the range by 20% but 2 lvls mitigate it completly. 4) dmg upgrade reduces aoe coz it makes arclight viable vs everything ground.

and Arcs can lvl up every round. Even if they lose a round ravaging few tanks, crawlers, balls and others will get them enough exp to start the arctide. Or godforbid they break through R1 to kill the building.

I thought arclight hard counter is phoenix, especially if its really "spam". I mean they are even a starting unit on some commanders. Most people arent running the AA tech card on arclight

I see a good amount of people having anti air tech on arc light, me included. Also, if someone goes heavy on arcs on purpose, they probably do as well or have another defense option for that planned.

"another defense option" is a different argument, everyone can have another option / counter too that other unit too. I thought OP's problem was mostly with early game spam.

I don't know, I don't really see the problem other than as outlined earlier, maybe the cards and upgrade synergy is a bit too powerful. That seems possible.

My issue is that they snowball quite easily while the cost is quite small at the end of the day, because they are tier 1. Tier 1 just should not be able to cover all their bases. Thanks to elite upgrade they beging to outrange most stuff. They deal with swarms since they have aoe, they deal with air since they can mod against it. If you try to sniper/phoenix against them, those have clear counters with swarms so they deal with it easily since they have the money since arcs are cheap.

I think the best counter to them is reminding this strategy exist and shutting it down the moment you see the enemy has arc lights and related techs.

Arclight spam is fun. Sadly it is really bad. Still i do it sometimes for the lulz.
