people with 50h were facing 1000h players etc....
1 game you could get someone who just strated 1 week ago and next game you can get someone who grinded 100s hours since beta
is that what you want ?
lol
What they could do is copy starcraft and hide the mmr of low rated players. If everyone under for example 1900 mmr had their mmr hidden, then the good players would know where they stand and the bad players would not have to deal with ladder anxiety.
Unfortunately this is currently not true due too very bad itemcards you can choose.
Parasitic ammo....
if 2 players are even remotley similar in skill parasitic ammo will rng the game and the one who gets luckier with how he positioned overall unit placements before the card even showed up will win.
Also enhancment module is a big problem in higher mmr games.
you upgrade and sell a unit every round and place module in new unit.
Now lets say 1 players unit upgrades and the other one gets 98% xp
-> this means 1 player has 200 more credits than the other for the next round which
is a pretty big deal.
-they really need to change enhancment module to -> items having this module cant be sold
-And just remove parasitic ammo completely
to make it 99% skill based game again
:if 2 players are even remotley similar in skill parasitic ammo will rng the game and the one who gets luckier with how he positioned overall unit placements before the card even showed up will win.: you dont get lucky with unit placement. you placed them there
2vs2 is just 1v1 but no one ever speeds up. Their is very little interaction with your team or the fact it's 2v2
It's still like this? I get matched with people from 100 MMR to 1400 MMR. Games are always either a steamroll or get steamrolled. very rare to get a equal fight.
I'm sure monopoly is too if you try hard enough.
Aren't you the dude who swears he can predict random number generators?
This is an insane take. I don't think even the devs would say this game has "almost no randomness". Also you still get paired with people of way lower (and higher) mmr, it doesn't give you even fights, like ever.
My mmr jumps up and down like 500 points all the time. The MMR system can't figure out where to put me.
That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, unless you are pulling out a calculator and ruler to to figure out the exact distances between units and know exactly which units each of your units will target, and how long it would take a crawler to move from that dead enemy etc... It might as well be random. And it still kind of is with how your units can just miss sometimes. I don't know if I would say these situations are that bad, I don't really mind them too much, but I wouldn't pretend I'm a megamind who "totally calculated that bro". Also you don't even know if you'll get parasitic ammo as an option, so if you were to place units with parasitic ammo in mind, you're just entirely gambling on getting it.
Ah you place your entire board for 4-5 rounds so that you will profit from parasitic ammo
in case it shows up ?
LOL
Placing your units for a card that might or might not show up is for sure not "skill"
On topic:
MMr is great
I came back after 4,5 months break and had no idea about the new units , about current meta or the new techs...
I lost my first 10 games in a row... and now last 7 games i went 4-3
So MMr does what it should...
you get matches vs oponnents around your skill level
Come on, its not luck that determines unit positioning. You place your units from round 1 onward so you best can utilize the good cards if they come up. You spread out so not everyone gets AoE by skill cards and you have a plan if the strongest cards like cheaper balls, assault fang, mass produced rhino or parasitic come up.
To prepare for the parasitic card you build and level up at least 1 unit that can use parasitic well, like the mustang. Its not a big investment to do this even if the parasitic dont show up, you can sell units for 100% back if you dont tech them. And the mustang is good with other items as well, damage items can be better than parasitic in many situations.

Checking who targets who is the basics of the basic, and after you play alot you will get an intuitive feel for every units speed and range so you will know where to place them, its not random and its not hard to do. Making the enemy miss and forcing them to target the wrong unit is how you play this game. Look at how the units preform in the battle. You see your crawlers feeding an enemy vulcan? place a rhino infront of the crawlers to tank or sell your crawlers, its not hard.
The enemy has units that work well together? Place units on the flank to split his units in half.
The enemy has counters for your unit ready? Use the mobile beacon to move your unit in another direction on the battlefild.
Noob response - "so you prepare for rain in case it shows up, LOL it's complete rng you stupid!"
Normal person - "I own an umbrella"
1337 - "I setup my roof to collect rainwater into a barrel"
Keep in mind that these noobs aren't asking for advice and they don't deserve it. They are here to vent about non-issues and say outrageous ♥♥♥♥.
