how do I permanently disable chat

its so frustrating having to disable chat EVERY SINGLE TIME that I launch the game. I have zero interest in chatting to anyone in game and the chat is in the middle of the screen so its actually in the way of your game..

why does the disabled chat option have to reset every time the game starts?

Fair point, something to post in suggestions or bugs?
Uncertain if it's intentional that the setting behaves this way or not.

I agree, there should be an option to turn off chat until you turn it on again. I want to turn off public chat but i CBA doing it every time i launch the game.

still an annoying problem nearly a year later chat gets in the way of the mouse and has no function outside of 2v2
