Once it gets down to the nitty-gritty and I need to shift to melee combat, the tables are turned. Give me a knife, sword, beating stick, whatever, it NEEDS to be in my left hand!!! And grenades! I can't throw for ♥♥♥♥ with my right hand xD Using my fists, I lead with my left. Grabbing an object and using it - let's say picking up a key and unlocking a door - is very much a left-handed task for me. I've played a fair bit of Blade & Sorcery so I know I don't have any issues with swinging weapons and moving around simultaneously using my left hand. However, my right hand becomes about as useful as a condom stuck in a drainpipe
So I guess what I'm looking for is having the default 'right-handed' settings but with, how would you describe it.. 'Contextual'? With an option for contextual objects and melee weapons to be suited for left-handed pickup and use.
Hopefully this makes sense and I haven't made a complete mess of explaining it Lol Cheers, looking forward to playing Espire in a month!
We split this into 2 settings now:
1) The player can choose a dominant hand. This will decide what side of your chest your primary weapon or 'repair tool' will holster to.
2) The player can choose which thumbstick / trackpad is used for movement and which is for snap turn.
Hopefully this will cover all the bases!
Sounds good, so leftys and (?)rightys will be pleased. :)
-When you start the game, you can choose your dominant hand. If you select your dominant hand to be LEFT, then when you holster your primary weapon it will appear on the LEFT side of your chest, and your repair tool will be on the right.
-In the menu you can change the hand used for movement. this lets you put thumbstick movement onto the right stick, with snapturns on the left, if you want to.
-You can use any weapon left or right handed, just drop the weapon and pick it up with your other hand. You can also hold and fire different types of weapons at the same time.
What is the reason not allow this in PSVR, yes you can move on the right move, but whats the point if you cant turn in the left move.
