What's your prefered controller?

I've never really played a 6dof game before but always wanted to, i grew up playing PC games all the way through the 90's it's just something that escaped me for some reason.
I can imagine if i played this back in the day i'd have used mouse and keyboard, but it seems to control pretty well with an Xbox One pad, and that's typically how i prefer to control vehicles, so before i dive in and start getting used to it, do die hard Descent and Forsaken players use m/k? Or are joysticks and pads the ideal setup?

PS4 controller is probably the best for 6DOF.

mouse with more buttons is enough.
with contoler its comfortable and fells native to play . with k+ better mouse . iam just faster and more precise.
i use mouse button 5 for slide up button 6 slide down . with basic mouse i would be screwed

I think i've decided on mouse, i used pad for the first level then switched to mouse and it felt much better, just gotta get used to the ship physics.
