H Patch add anything other than.... well, porn ?

I don't care much about H scenes since I expect a good story from a Vn of this price.
But I was wondering, since downloading the patch apparently requires a account on their website which I find very annoying, is the Steam version censored in any other way ? Sentences altered, or deleted etc ( other than the sex scenes themselves ofc ).
Would say this product is just as good without the patch ?

I played the game with the patch on so I can't say how it is without, but I assume there will quite a bit of things chopped off. Sex is an important theme in one chapter.
I highly recommend you creating an account and downloading the patch. I know it is annoying but playing a censored game is much worse. So much is lost.

I've actually recently got into playing text based games and I've come to find out that with enough enthusiasm your imagination can go a long way

ok now my experience is only With the patch and 4 real, this game is border line hardcore. If it were a movie and the sex scenes were entirely cut out it would still be rated "R".

Depending on your mental fortitude and/or your preferences towards a dark story line climate, anything they may have cut out along with the sex scenes you might not have wanted to experience anyway.

I am not sure If I will finish this game myself.

some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up stuff in here. especially towards the end if you refuse to return all the shards.

including... an involuntary relationship with reoccurring underage rape, psychological dominance, mental trauma and long term abuse.
leading to public gang bang of teen girl in park.
a separate instance of unprotected consensual sexual relations between virgin under age girl and middle age man then abandonment,
also bi-polar and psychotic behavior.
with psychopathic manipulation, violence and possible mutilation.
(I say "possible" because this is where I currently am in the story, and have yet to decide if I will continue or not.

and this is only my first route.
So anyone wanting a happy go lucky feel good story, this is probably not the best choice.

It is also possible that I landed on the only dark route of the game.
Might be the case. I don't know.

Year old thread... Forgive me for posting on this old thread, although it's on the top of board...

Before I bought this, I was wondering the same thing as the OP and I checked out this forum and found this post, happened to feel the same way and saw that his/her question was never completely answered. I just finished the game completely and want to give this thread an answer.

Short answer: Yes, download the patch, H-scenes contain... how should I say this... "pure"(?)
meanings and content, not just depravity. I happen to despise erotic content in visual novels, if it's done purely for the sake of erotic content or depravity without reason or meaning, and this game doesn't have that kind of content in it.

There were some H-scenes, that I didn't like or felt like; "what's the point?" but they weren't bad enough to forsake rest of the scenes, scenes which clearly had a point and served as a climax of the ending or the route, or showing the result of your choice. By not installing the patch, you would also sacrifice "good" parts of the story or narrative and miss out on very important bits.

Also, if someone is still actually reading this, Bokuten is an incredible visual novel with a unbelievable atmosphere, good story, art and characters. The emotions I experienced were... incredible, and maybe not towards characters themselves... but more towards their circumstances, and Bokuten was much better visual novel than I expected it to be...

Maybe I'm just sucker for angels and the concept of them but... This game was an incredible experience to go through, to say the least.

Check it out, it's worth the risk and practically a steal from a sale. I guarantee it.

I wish visual novels were more popular...
