They still can't give a release date (from the comments).
I'll believe it when I see it.
God knows how long it will be before we get the final chapter.
The entire series has been out of translation for a few YEARS by this point. The art likely was finished long beforehand. What the ♥♥♥♥ are they doing? What could they possibly have had to do that justifies taking TWICE AS LONG AS THE ORIGINAL, FROM SCRATCH RELEASES TOOK?
This is absolutely pathetic. There are so many errors in this "new" translation that they can't even be given the benefit of the doubt about polishing.
I think at this point I'd advise people just buy a copy of the old translation.
Really? Well that's promising for Kikonia, though not so promising for Higurashi lol... When it was first announced I figured it would be a decade before I would be able to read it. I am curious as to where information on it can be found though. So far all I could find was a post from like a year ago saying a new one was in the works. Can't find anything on its name or anything else though.
Seen OPM season 2?
Nah, tbh didn't watch the first season past episode 1 either. Just not really my kind of thing. But I did hear that a lot of people were unsatisfied with the quality of the animation for season 2.
That's definitely true. I read the VN's first and then watched the anime, and I enjoyed the anime as a kind of highlight reel. It was cool to see some of the scenes in action and hear their voices despite the relatively low quality of the animation. I don't think it would have made any sense if I had watched it first though. I did the same thing with Umineko and also enjoyed that anime as a recap highlight reel kind of thing, but I don't think either anime can stand on its own.
What what what?!? I've been so caught up waiting for the new Higurashi releases that I didn't even know there's another game coming out! This is awesome :D It's such a relief that they're apparently making the English version simultaneously.

Awesome! Thanks :-D
