Just got the game today and I'm loving the nostalgia. It keeps crashing though. Any fix for this?

at volcano approach 2. the 4 background part my game keeps crashing afer lefting this area

it happened to me too, in the volcano place once you get the ink dash attack, the back ground started flashing then the whole world went black.

not responding on startup

goes to a white screen on startup and doesn't respond at all and eventually crashes, tried different compatibility modes and fixes and couldn't get it working, apparently this is an issue with older gpu cards but im running a gtx 1080 on a custom desktop so don't think that's the issue

Game crashing

I loved the original FPAs, and i'm loving what I can play of this so far, but i'm having an issue where the game seems to crash on a timer? I'll play for say 25ish minutes, crash, start back up, play 10ish minutes, crash, reboot, play 25ish minutes, crash, rinse and repeat. No error message or feedback, just the game freezes, goes into windowed mode, and then stops responding entirely. Any suggestions?

I started playing yesterday and the same has been ocurring on my end. Although I would have to confirm this, I suspect the game may be crashing as it begins to use more RAM.

Yeah for some reason this game crashes all the time. I replay this game all the time, and i have never finished a run without the game crashing at least once.

Are you referring to the volcano approach phase? I was playing it today and my game froze but the music kept playing and I was able to pause the game even with the screen frozen, and then a Steam window appeared saying that a component had stopped, the first time this has happened, I had to restart the game. PC because the game didn't want to close at all, very strange it never occurred to me before and in no game

These was a window of time around 2020-2021 where crashes were being very commonly reported. I actually don't know for sure if this was patched?!
I am consolidating all seemingly related reports just in case!
