This game like most is about weapon selection and order of upgrades. I go with Remote Charges(amount you can carry upgraded), Nano rifle fully upgraded, Rocket Launcher with all upgrades except Heat(maybe at the end). Love it when the remote charge sticks to the guard's head. lol
Some of the missions are quite hard. I esp hate freeing Dust and one you have not done yet where you direct shots from orbit. And one where you protect Samanya at the Radio Transmitter.
But destroying stuff in this game is hard to beat with the Havok Engine being awesome. Love how the planet looks also.
Actually doing pretty well this time. Freeing Dust is the mission I dread most and got it on 2nd try after some random ran me over the first time. lol
Not only did I cross the free fire zone on the first try, but took over the base on the other side on the first try which rarely happens.
Most frustrating missions are towards the end.
If you have not done the radio transmission one yet make sure you arrive with Prox Mines and boosted number of them. Only way to beat it.
Then you take out central command with 4 target buildings and it's really confusing how to get to those buildings without dying first. But once you find the path it is doable with two Walkers.
I just did final mission and made it to the top of the mountain after maybe 4 tries and died. lol I beat it before so not putting myself through that mission again. It's like you against 400 guys with awesome armor and weapons. I wish I could face that many in a Far Cry game mission. That is where I excel > sneaking around with a bow. Highest number I have seen is 150 Vietcong in a user map and I beat it! No bow in map so just used normal guns.
> Drive into base
> Get out of car and try to find a safe area where you're not getting shot at from all directions
> Guerrilla forces show up
> They get exploded and shot at and die which decreases the morale
> Run out of ammunition
> Find ammunition box and get barely enough ammo to kill more enemies
> Get killed by a bomb that sucks you in and spits you out
It's like the game does everything it can to make sure you don't have fun. Just Cause 3 and 4 are the opposite.
The name guerrilla is right in the name of the game which means a quick small action against another mil force or gov. Although I am not usually into story, the story helped motivate me here and it may actually play out in the future with Elon Musk making corporate colony on Mars and once there, they are his slaves and prisoners really. Personally I'd volunteer for that, but I can see how the masses there would get upset after awhile.
I just liked "sticking it to the man" in the game. Park across the street and fire a couple of rockets and take-off giggling. I'm super law-abiding IRL, so gaming allows me to get all those opposite feelings out legally. :-D
