The posts are challenging. Start by driving a vehicle loaded with charges into it for bonus start and keep moving behind cover while firing off rockets and stay close to vehicles for a getaway. Helps if you have that tremor upgrade to shake stuff.
So what did they remastered???
Its more difficult and graphics are lower, but there are some light shinings on surfaces and some additional jetpacks and like 30 new hammers without any bonus function.
I play it only for the steam achievments, nobody asked me if i want to have it.
It just ruined my achievment stats.
It's way too boring and time consuming to destroy EDF crates and Red Stashes with scrap as it's too inconvenient how many they are and how slow it is to destroy them and take the scrap. Not to mention I recently detonated one of the big bombs and it was a joke! It's a lot more efficient to just use a tank. The spawning points are also ♥♥♥♥ as it takes a lot of time to drive to the objectives... The way you took missions is also slow. Why do I need to get to someone to tell me there are hostages elsewhere or a convoy? Shouldn't I be able to encounter those hostages while playing? Such missions should've been more of a random event or the location already known in the safe houses.
I don't remember the original version being this difficult, even on PC.
Mate WTF, check resolution:

It's still piss easy on anything lower then hard tho.
On normal and easy you can literally just run around with a hammer without a care in the world.
If you can find where they keep the big mech robot things, you can steal those then take them to smash up buildings. I love this game it is my favorite. it has "guerrilla" in the title and you should use guerrilla tactics. Hit and run. You can hold your position though. Use the hammer and shock gun when they have you pinned down and surrounded. Zap them then whack them with the hammer while they do the funky chicken.
If you are being overwhelmed you should run and hide and come back later. It helps to have an idea how you will make your escape before you go in. Often I park an armored car some place, ready to make my get away after I destroy everything.
The allies are pretty useless, but they do good if you keep shocking the enemy and your team mates can shoot them. Just tap the trigger for the shock gun dont hold it down
It's also really good against those pesky gunships that keep spawning overhead.
2 shots at one of the wings and it will crash because of loss of balance.
Also if you played the game long enough you'll eventually see and know which places the weakspots are on a building.
Unknowing players always seem to complain about building standing on 1 piece of support yet it is usually the piece that keeps the building alltogether in the first place.
I also never come across this issue myself, Well maybe 1 in 10 basically, But pretty much never.
If you are playing on Insane or using difficulty mods then cover is a must cus you cannot hope to survive longer then 5 seconds without it.

I like that the building structures and collapse mechanic were revolutionary and indeed there were some stronger columns to make it more realistic but having a whole building standing on a single column is unrealistic to be honest...
Keep in mind that those strong columns need more explosives and usually some clearing of the weaker supports and there is simply no time to do that. You are overwhelmed with EDF. I didn't use any mods while making this post. The only place where you could take the time to collapse a building is literally the first two missions and it's because they are scripted... I also suspect that you can still be overrun on the second mission but not 100% sure.
The game should have been more realistic by allowing you to plan and execute collapses of buildings/objectives. This could've easily be performed by just increasing the respawn timers with 15-30 seconds or so. I am talking about when one is doing a free-roam destruction and not in a mission.
