Reset Destruction
One of the biggest nitpicks for fans of the game (myself included) was that when you finished the campaign and wanted to go nuts with all the unlocked weapons and vehicles, most of the structures were usually already destroyed in the course of previous missions and sandbox mucking about.

What the game really needs (more than any graphical improvements) is some kind of option or feature to allow you to "reset" the destruction of the world so that you can destroy it all again. For example, I believe Far Cry 3 they patched in the option to reset the outposts so that you can liberate them again after finishing the game. Red Faction Guerrilla really needs something like that for the destruction. Please consider adding if possible.

There was a mod that brought the reconstructor into the campaign mode, but that was a very tedious process of manually rebuilding structures, and sometimes it bugged out and didn't work at all.

They actually officially added the reconstructor to the steam edition a few months ago, so there's that.

However, I do agree that a reset button would be awesome.

Reconstructor did not reconstruct glass/windows, right?

It did, but it was very gimmicky about doing so. You needed to have 100% of the frame around it repaired before the window itself could be reconstructed.

I would 100% be up for Red Faction Amrageddon's reconstructor, the kind where you can throw a ball that rebuilds in a radius, so I can rebuild bigger structures :D:
Agreed, some kind of post-campaign creative mode would be cool too. Mods did the job well enough, but a polished menu would be amazing.

Also the EDF outposts. I'd love to smash them a second time but every time I go in to use the reconstructor, the EDF guarding the stumps and rubble consider it "trespassing" and bombard me with explosives and tanks, making it basically impossible for me to rebuild their base for them.

And I checked and the structures that weren't reconstructing (usually bridges) still don't want to be reconstructed, ReMARStered or not. Considering also the tedium of having to manually reconstruct everything, and I think a reset destruction button is still needed.
I just finished the game on the remarstered version and was looking for something like what OP has mentioned. I know we have the reconstructor but as Inicius said it is quite tedious to have to rebuild stuff manually (the fun comes with destroying not rebuilding :P). I think that an option like this would benefit a lot the replayability aspect of the game.
Did the devs gave an official response to this suggestion elsewhere yet?

EDIT: or maybe keep it the way it is but add a faster and overall better reconstructor so you can keep building on the go but way faster and better suited for high buildings, since the reconstructor spray isn´t the best to rebuild because it takes quite a while to rebuild entire buildings.

I think there is a way after you complete the game (other than the reconstructor) to reset areas when you go to a new area.. whenvyou are about to load your completed game there is a button in the load screen to reset it!!
I haven't tried it yet, but there is a Free Roam mod that might be a solution of sorts. Could just start a new game of that, just roam around, blowing stuff up as you please. I would like a world reset option, but I'm not hopeful the devs will add that in.

Something I forgot to add, the raid missions and the Leroy Jenkins missions will reset some areas. For example, in one raid mission was to destroy an area I had already leveled, it had been rebuilt when I arrived to the mission area. So, you could save those missions for last.

On startup when selecting save file to load, there is a reset destruction feature.
once beating the game a new feature will appear when loading a save file, press y on the save file you want and during that session all structures will be restored to there original form
Not sure on how, but I remember reading that the game allowed you to buy a reconstructor on the ending as some kind of fix 4 this, on a later patch (by THQ nordic) I guess this is applied to the re-mars-tered.

It is, Once you have completed the story you unlock this feature.
It was added to Remarster later down the line.
