Also, be aware that you'll need to use the D-pad to navigate menus, and not the analog stick.
Let me ask my question again: What template are you using? When you configure your controls in Steam Input, did you apply the developer's recommended configuration?
Also, be aware that the game isn't good at handling both KB&M and gamepad inputs at the same time, so whichever you use first, after the game launches each time, will get set as the primary input type until you change that.
i could close this topic but i don't know how. I'm still having this issue with games that force you to use uplay though.
Look into using GloSC[alia5.github.io]. It's a program that's meant to help run games that don't like to use the Steam overlay.
