Yea that's totally relevant response to what OP wrote..
There is only one problem tho ..
Thread is from almost 2 years ago.
Yeah, that's not reliable at all.
The nature of Guerrilla's physics engine means it's nigh impossible to replicate this event consistently. It's been two odd years but iirc this specific challenge is what lead to me deleting the game multiple times. Even at the initial throw-point, a canister will fly perfectly on-point towards the targeting reticule....or massively above, or low, or to either side, thrown overarm, underarm or shotput, with zero repeatability or predictable accuracy; this is then compounded massively by the fact the canisters have to roll a significant distance down-tube subject to the game's physics rules as well as the fact the challenge is clearly designed for barrels to roll....which they do badly with a mine attached.
Like I said, it's been several years but I very clearly remember spending multiple hours across multiple days trying to land this achievement, literally hundreds of attempts failing because the game decided on an underarm lob that throws a canister into the pipe's support struts and wrecks it, or an overarm that lobs the thing too high to land on top, or physics leaves the canister stuck halfway down the pipe, or breaking the pipe-bottom meaning nothing else can be thrown down. The fact 'Win time' is 1:15 and the only time I succeeded was a frankly ridiculous 0:18 because I got ridiculously lucky is proof of my point. This challenge (and several others) isn't a test of skill or clever thinking, it's just waiting for the Game-Gods to smile on your randomized roll of the dice.
I'm curious how and why you found this post though, it must have been deep in the old pages after several years.
I didn't. Maybe it's been changed now but at least when I made this post ♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ were automatically bleeped out by Steam.
That's what I was thinking! How did that guy stumble across such an old post if they weren't looking for a solution because it's so 'easy'?
I just jam the explosive rigged canisters in both pipe and pray for the best.
The game was merciful in my last play as i got Pro Time by sheer luck.
