The file names/structure seemed the same as the old ones(vpk).
@Lanar Drexel
Make sure you point the mod manager to the right directory. By default, it'll search for the old RFG folder.
It should work if you put the mod manager directly in the games install folder. The run game button didn't work for me either but they mods are still activated if you run the game through Steam.
I tried one mod.. the one that turns your assault rifle bullets into singularity bombs. It worked, but it was also supposed to remove rifles from the EDF... which it didn't do; meaning I got my ass blown sky high
EDIT: I think I found out what is wrong with a few other mods. Some of the files are named slightly differently. For example if you look under the Reconstructor mods xml file under the "Edit file" section, it looks for misc.vpp. Well in the remastered version, it's called misc.vpp_pc. Changing this in the xml file SHOULD fix the issue.
EDIT AGAIN: Nvm if you add the _pc it will just throw an error when you try to activate. I guess some mods just won't work until someone figures out what has changed in the files.
It's just data.
I tried to activate the "Free Upgrades" Mod. I edited/changed the associated xml file. When I clicked "Activate Mod(s)" in Mod Manager, I get error: Error while activating mod 'Free Upgrades': System Exception: Unable to extract unsupported file 'misc.vpp_pc'.
Anyone get this error and know what to do?
Yeah apparantly if you did what I said before (by changing the filename to add the _pc), it will throw that error. I guess it autodetects the file without adding the _pc so you don't to change it. I'm guessing some of the mods just won't work with the new game until they are adjusted.
