Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered

Extreme stuttering
My computer is perfectly fine and it handles all other games with ease whether they are Crysis 3, Battlefield 1, Stellaris or Total war my computer takes them all without lag except for this game.

This game stutters to the point where it is almost unplayable, does anyone have any idea as to why and even better does anyone know how to fix this? If a solution is given then others can look at this discussion and solve the issue as well as I am sure that others have it.

No stuttering here. How about posting specs?

My computer is fine as I said it can handle any game these days and I have 60 fps in the game except that ever other second the game freezes for a short while then it's back to 60 fps. This happens every two-three seconds and it makes the game unplayable.

Where in the game exactly? Or is it just generally everywhere?
Also have you tried fullscreen window? Actual fullcreen doesn't run super well these days in a lot of games due to windows 10's weird "optimization" stuff.

Tried switch to exclusive fullscreen and v-sync enable, seems to fix it atleast for the 10m i played
I tried windowed mode and windowed borderless and none of them improved the lag. I also tried every single different graphical setting but it did not remove the stuttering. I am going to try fullscreen again after a full system restart. I will try to activate v-sync as well and I will comment if it works.

Btw did not install on my own ssd.

What driver version are you using? After 391.35 which I'm using currently (nvidia), I and others started noticing stutters in pretty much all games.

I'm having the same issue, my rig plays most recent games well on higher setting, ryzen 7 & 1080. The stuttering during driving sections is bad enough to make the game unplayable. Tried changing all different video settings, including doing so after a fresh reboot and no changes. I'd hope they release an optimization patch soon, but from what I've heard about the original port that might not be in the cards. Shame as I was really enjoying the little bits of gameplay I got to do before it became evident driving everywhere was gonna be a big part of the game.
