this game is too hard
I think this game is simply too hard, there are situation where it's almost impossible to dodge a bullet, and when you lose you also lose the card collected during the run. I have spent a lot of stars on the radar while just losing the mission and losing the card.

Can you put at least a simpler difficulty mode? For example avoiding losing card when you can't finish the mission? Otherwise is frustrating

play on easier difficulty, and on easier levels while you don't have all cards

when I use radar, cards appear only on hard levels.
And also it's very hard to find cards and parts on easy levels, so that's not a viable strategy

Why not simply play and enjoy the game. First goal is to collect stars in order to upgrade plane.
Game is definitively not too hard, beside the last 3 levels on nightmare. And well, if you can't get all medals on nightmare, then you can't. To be honest, I still haven't finish the last Bx level totally, And still enjoy the game. Do no focus on cards, they will come by playing.Once plane is upgrade to the max, allmost all level in insane difficulty are doable...

I have all card, and didn't used radar even once ;) hard levels are becoming easy while you collect other planes, and mechanics. If I had card and want to take it to the end of level, I just done only the minimum, kill only what can kill you, and ignore people, stars.

I agree with thirganor, upgrading plane was first thing I did also.

Clue is to not go beyond level 6 at first, level 6 on insane is where you can collect a lot of stars and upgrade your ship, also since you don't go beyond this level at first, cards found using the card radar will only show up till level 6 making it easier to complete your card collection.

If you also get a temporary More Stars card i would advice to play level 6 at least 3 times in a row, which means you can collect at least 5500-6000 stars to help your upgrades.

Also make sure to use super weapons which will help you in tight situations.

This is a game of replaying levels to get stars. Stars upgrade your ship, so basically every single game you play will make you more powerful. Your initial pea shooter won't get you very far, but fully upgraded main guns cut through the early levels like butter even on insane. Replay earlier levels to get all the medals in that level. Trying to rescue all the humans requires a different approach to destroying 100% of enemies for example, so there's plenty to do.

I didn't realise it was better to grind out earlier levels to get all the cards (d'oh), I've gone all the way to level 11 so far! No wonder I'm missing more than half the cards. The gold cards make things a lot easier.

this game is meant to be difficult. if you cant pass a level its probably because you dont have enough upgrades yet. its quite a difference that one level is main cannon can make.

Cards start to drop more frequently on nightmare, I collected 50% of the cards on nightmare between level 1 and 6 (and yes, I did multiple runs on each not because of collecting cards but rather getting all the metals). At first I used a lot of radar but after unlocking nightmare mode the cards seem only to appear on nightmare so I stopped using it and focused more on beating the levels and getting the metals. If collecting cards is a problem then collecting parts is even worse.

To the point of everyone else, yes, upgrade the plane first. I started with the magnet (didn't fully upgrade, until a reasonable cost), got a couple of value points in each categories (except for power ups) then maxed in the following order: main cannon, side cannon, missiles, magnet, health, laser, shield, bomb.

Simple take the Ace Of Spades plane if you have it and play a lot of it in your disired difficult. There is no need for the Radar. This may help you if there only 2 or 3 card's left(Radar). This plane finds a lot of cards and time cards as well. Its also easier to collect time cards with it
Just play the levels where you know that you can make it because you need stars to upgrade your plane. An upgraded plane will bring you the next level.

Upgrade your main cannon like hell and learn to avoid turret enemies (the one that track your location), because if you somehow trapped between bullet its near entirely your fault which mean avoid corner.

ok, I understood my problem: i was spending too much on useless Radar (without any gains because I couldn't finish that mission), now i am spending everything on upgrades and now it's better...

EDIT: btw, mission 4 on insane is really too hard
