Controller Input Issue
I just Installed the game and was glad is has better support for multiple controller ( unlike SFA). I would like to have my kids play the game with the two Xbox controllers I have ( 1 gen one, 1 gen2) unfortunately for some reason the gen2 controller is ALWAYS detected as

Player : 1
Joy 1: Unknown, joyindex:0

while the 1st gen controller is shown

Player : 2
Joy 2: Xinput Gamepad 1, joyindex:1

(EDIT: I found out it doesnt matter the model of the controller, whichever gets detected first gets assigned the Player 1 designation and the second controller get the "official Xbox designation)

That is my first problem, which leads to the second more "critical".
I cannot assign a button for the Supercharge or Alt Fire on Player one controller. I can select, and it blinks waiting for my input, but it will not detect or assign a button.
Also since P1 is unknown joystick it used standard buttons names while the P2 controller buttons as shown correctly.
The game is playeable the way it is, and Im sure my 4 year would never need the SUPERCHARGE option, but its bugging me.

Hi, what's your operating system? Any custom gamepad drivers installed?

Win 10 64bit, only out of the ordinary pad besides xbox controllers is the Logitech G13 gaming keyboard pad, BUT it is profile activated and i have not set it up for use with SFA/SFR.

I'll have a look at this and will get back to you on this.

One more thing - how do you connect the controllers? By wires, dongle, bluetooth (for the 2nd gen one)?

Did you try to start the game in steam big picture mode and setup the controllers there? Maybe it works, not sure.

Hi, sorry I missed your reply. I've tested two wired controllers. No joy on repeating the behaviour you've described. Is there anything else speciffic, that could cause this? Also, are the default setting for supercharge and alt-fire not working either? Or you're just not happy with them?

hello again. The controls are on default. I also notice that there is an error in my original post,
this

Player : 1
Joy 1: Unknown, joyindex:0

Player : 2
Joy 2: Xinput Gamepad 1, joyindex:1

is actually

Player : 1
Joy 1: Unknown, joyindex:0

Player : 2
Joy 1: Xinput Gamepad 1, joyindex:1

Which brings up the question, should there be a Joy 1 and a Joy 2 and an Xinput Gamepad 1 and Xinput Gamepad 2? What does your menu shows? Im starting to think it might be a Windows problems assigning controllers, ( who knows). The only additional info I can give you is that the only time I know which pad is which is a the controls menu since the Xinput controller is the only one that can initiate a button change. Another thing I notice is that regardless of the number assignment in the menu, whichever controller starts a game, it will be set as number 1.
Im going to try to connect one controller normally and the second via bluetooth and see what happens.

EDIT:
tried the bluetooth approach and still no dice. Still the same

Player : 1
Joy 1: Unknown, joyindex:0

Player : 2
Joy 1: Xinput Gamepad 1, joyindex:1

Im going to try just on controller and check the settings but is ok if we cant figure out..my kids have not been playing since the issue was brought up.
