Malfunction II has officially just launched on Steam via Early Access!

Yep, you heard that right. Malfunction II. This has been a long-going project that I've been super excited to share with you all. If you're a fan of Malfunction I then you definitely cannot miss out on this experience!

What exactly is Malfunction II?

Malfunction II takes the formula of Malfunction I (puzzles, exploration, combat) while improving and expanding upon it. Whether you're a fan of the first game or are just getting started, Malfunction II will offer something new for everyone. Featuring new ways to explore, fight enemies, and most importantly; solving puzzles. Malfunction II is by far the biggest and most innovative project that Barlock Games has ever made.

What's the story of Malfunction II?

Malfunction II takes place several centuries after Malfunction I. Featuring a beloved character from the first game; Dwenguil. You'll once again step into his shoes as he's awoken on a mysterious planet which has been long overtaken by the Plague. However. The Plague aren't quite the same as they once were. The Plague has unexpectedly went rogue on it's creators; causing a huge threat to the entire universe. Dwenguil must yet again strategize a solution to stopping the Plague- for good this time.

Barlock Games' next project, Super Squash, is available RIGHT NOW!

That's right! Super Squash has finally reached it's finish line and I can't wait to discuss it with you all!

The game DOES feature Dwenguil as well as familiar enemies from Malfunction!

Dwenguil in specific (and perhaps other familiar Malfunction characters) will also have quite a MAJOR role in the story of Super Squash.

What is Super Squash?

Super Squash is a top-down Shoot 'Em Up arcade game which features multiple playable characters who must all unite together to stop the unrelenting hordes of enemies and bosses.

The story consists of this: Every universe of Barlock Games is under attack by a being that's quite powerful and massive. Every character considered a hero throughout all the universes must band together and put a stop to this. Every character, enemy and location created prior from Barlock Games will be featured in Super Squash. This is the legacy of Barlock Games' 10 years.

Few announcements here! I know it's been quite awhile since we've had an update regarding Malfunction, so let's get to it!

Malfunction can now be purchased DRM free at Itch.io!

I definitely know there is an audience out there for DRM free games, so now you have that option. Check it out here![barlock-games.itch.io]

Second, Let's discuss our latest project which DOES include Malfunction!

Introducing, Barlock Squash!

Barlock Squash is a top-down 3D arcade shooter which features a simplistic art style and re-introduces familiar worlds with characters and enemies from prior titles created by Barlock Games. This game is a HUGE throwback to Barlock Games and it's history. And yes, Malfunction WILL be part of this story (Which will take place right after the events of Malfunction).

There is playable build of it RIGHT NOW!

Currently the preview only includes 3 playable levels but if you're interested, grab it here!
