They drop a burger as soon as it spawns which turn about 5 civilians instantly, with high mutation chance it could also turn into another clown which drops another burger, turning even more.
It gets a bit weak when there's army everywhere, but placing them down in enclosed areas and then releasing them is still good.
Yes, burgers one-shot ZIT and Hazmat. But only if they are not focused at shooting at stuff and notice the burger.
Any more?
This is not as easy as it sounds in the late game with double enhanced ZIT spawn.
The one zombie you always need to invest in the first place is the basic zombie. I had it on lvl 5 before I even touched the special zombies.
I used Toxic zombie a lot at some point. Easy to craft and has enhanced infection rate. I also used Vampire zombie (the purple one, not the Dracula special) as it can 1-on-1 soldiers due to regen.
I imagine if I had built up slowly and had a more steady supply of basic zombies, I would probably invest in the advanced ones such as the chinese vampire (aka the jumping vamipre) one or the red big punk (who gets faster, lot faster, after getting damaged).
From special zombies I recommend also Goben - has highest resist (defence?) in the game out of all zombies. He is very tanky. Another one is Doomon. It is bordeline OP - long range shot that one-shots most humans, aoe and brings a swarm with him.
