How the HELL do you wall run?
I've done it exactly as the lame tutorial level says. I SPRINT along the wall then jump and tap (or hold. I've tried both) the direction towards the wall.

It feels like I just start moving really slowly, which I guess means I'm wall running.. but only for a second and then I drop down to ground.

It feels way off and wrong. What am I doing wrong..

OR is it just that the game's mechanics are as bad as one would expect from one this unpolished with this many stupid unbelievably stupid issues? Like the mouse getting captured so I can't move it to my other monitors like any rational multi-monitor user would want. Or that options take forever to load.

Point your mouse away from the wall, so that you're facing parallel (or actually point it away from the wall and get launched forwards when jumping off it)

Nah. The problem was that it only works when they want it to. When you NEED to. And the mechanic feels absolutely horrible.

So glad I didn't give these developers...

I find you need to press into the wall first (A/D) and then jump.

Actually the Wall jump mechanic only triggers when you're going down on the vertical axis (doesn't matter if it's from a jump or a fall), if you're on the ascending part of a jump it won't grab so there's 2 ways to improve on wallrunning: time your jump better and avoid double jump spam, especially on tiny wall run parts. (And of course you need to hold forward, the direction of the wall and sprint at the same time in order to wallrun)

With some practice you'll be able to go around curves without jumping and climb vertically with ease ;)
