(Help?) Power not working

I have just bought this game, and this is ridiculous.
I have placed many solar panels and turbines and played around with them best i can. Despite this, all of my buildings say they don't have power. And yes, they are within range of these buildings and their radius's.

Is there any fix to this?
I get it is an early game, so i'm trying not to be mad, but still. This is a big part of the game, and it isn't working.

This has just happened to me to with update seven and that there is a blog post that probably explains it as part of the update to power:

I added a diesel generator and that worked. I guess we are going to need batteries as our back-up supply if we wish to continue to go down the green route. Just like real life and there I was happily suspending reality!

Is the generator new? If so, i can reinstall the game to try that out.
I do recall, i tried all the power buildings i could find, though. It was a sunny day in the game, and all the buildings seemed to act like everything wasn't connected, rather than just no power. I can try this out though, if either the generator is new, or am told where to find it. :)

Yup the newest update focused on electricity modules. Lemme know if the power works now, if you decide to reinstall.
