Playable Creatures?

Been looking through the dev blogs but have not seen anything about it. Is there plans to make it so we can control the animals to cause a bit of chaos to our own parks? Say breaking out as a mammoth and causing some trouble.

For now there are no plans for player controlled animals, this simply isn't that type of game (it's more in the feign of games like Zoo Tycoon and Planet Zoo). The focus is thus on the tycoon part and making beautiful parks and enclosures for the animals using the ingame tools.

There was a mod back in the demo days that allowed this but maybe it'll make a return.

All they asked was if there would be an option to control creatures. Legit no animal tycoon game has that ability as far as i know and i think it would be cool. Not everyone has the isle/beasts of bermuda/path of titans anyways, and path of titans isn't even fully released yet.

I agree Lord Toast. On the it would be cool. + no tycoon has that, not even sandbox mode and it’s ok for people to ask if there will be such a option.

The only one that had this before was Mezisoica. And that failed hard.....sad but true I got that game because of the option with being the creature/ dinosaurs. Have rampage as a dinosaur in the park would have been fun in sandbox.

Maybe a mod or option if the developers ever do would be nice. But as the game is looking beautiful this far.

I definitely will still be getting this because of all the hard work the team is putting into this awesome game.

As others have said, the team isn't interested in playable creatures as it may jeopardise the game's identity and core mechanics. Whether or not unofficial mods allow this sort of thing is another story. :)
