Game screen goes black in tutorial

[Iranian Voodoo Doctor]

When I place down the torvosaurus in the tutorial, everything goes black and my frames drop massively. I fixed the frames issue by simply lowering my graphics but I still cannot see anything on my screen (the UI and the audio is there so the game is still progressing). When I try to reload to a save, the tutorial simply doesn't appear. What do? I already made a bug report btw.

Same here at exactly the same point in the tutorial. I have a beast of a machine (thanks Cities Skylines 2) that should have no problem running this type of game.

If it helps, I'm actually able to add animals just fine in sandbox mode, visuals stay up. so I'm not sure it's really a graphics issue?

I don't think it's a graphical issue either but it's pretty weird nonetheless. At least I'm not alone with this issue lol

I had this issue last night too, doing tutorial, plop down the Torvosaurus, screen goes black/flickering and now whenever I try to interact with that save (even reloading it) my FPS is down to like 2. Definitely something odd there.

Same here. I'm relieved i'm not the only one with that problem. And my PC is kinda old.

Same. Game just stops functioning after plonking down the Torvosaurus.

Have you solved the problem? There is also a black screen in that place of tutorial.

Not yet but with the recent update hopefully it's fixed. Will have to test it out when I have the time

Just tried it myself (restarting the tutorial fresh) and it worked fine this time, so seemingly fixed?

I just encountered this problem. My machine exceeds the recommended specs and then some so I know its not that.

It’s nice to see so many comments experiencing the same thing - not that it’s a good thing, but rather hopefully the devs will see it and do something about it
