My say on the Prehistoric Kingdom Alpha
Prehistoric Kingdom ALPHA - Pros and Cons

PROS
- Detail (Level of Detail JUST for an Alpha)
- Dinosaurs (Dinosaurs and the selection)
- The Dinosaur selection isn't terribly bad. Personally I really like it, as it includes two ceratopsians, two hadrosaurs and one carni. They all include an approx of 3, for the average skins per Dino. There is sexual dimorphism, however no true ageing. Sounds for each dino really REALLY sound good.
- Music
- It's great. It brings back Sims 4 and 3 vibes. Alongside a mixture of Planet Zoo and a few other games.
- Environment and Building
- First, environments. We only have 4 unlocked of 7(?). Each environment as it's different assets- trees, bushes etc. Alongside different grounds per environment. The terrain brush and it's settings are REALLY helpful, and a lot more efficient than JWE's brush.
- Buildings. With only a limited selection of pre-made buildings, it was alright and nothing too fancy. It is nothing special, however! There is a great building tool, which certainly needs a lot of work though. It's what JWE needed. You're able to create signs, walls (not wall walls, but walls to make buildings or things), ramps... with a bunch of different materials. It's fun, a big WIP, but something I want to try some more soon.

note, I'm tired and it's like 12:16am my time. So this is not my full Pros and Cons. Just the big ones
CONS
- Quality and lighting.
- The quality was alright. But hurt. My PC could at least run high on fullscreen for JWE with 30fps... I'm getting 15fps on Low. With 60fps when I look up at the sky. So I've been forced to play on a smaller resolution... which I don't hate, I have to do that with some games I own. But, I acknowledge it's an Alpha, I hope it gets better soon... hopefully.
- Lighting is a thing which either makes me love or hate the game in terms of 'looks' (because I love a good photo). The lighting reminds me of Evrima's lighting. Trees. Trees. TREES. It hurts to watch, it hurts to have.... Nothing I can do. But I'm living with it. It ruins a good photo. Yes, it's an alpha, but it hurts.

honestly, buying the PK Alpha was worth it.
I had fun, fun to the extent of an Alpha- there is a LOT of things that PK hasn't put in their Alpha. Which is fine.

This game had and still has a lot of potential. I've only played an hour, and I've made two sections in my park- a few custom made buildings. AND there is still a lot more.

I love a lot of things about this game now.
Because the devs have done it right. Giving us something what we want, not what money wants

These are my opinions on the Alpha for PK.
Thank you :)

Have a nice time

i honestly thought this was gonna be an addon/dlc for planet zoo. and very disappointed that its another game, same engine and everything, but another 60 bucks. very disappointed in the devs for this shady business tactic.

Planet Zoo and Prehistoric Kingdom are from different Developers and Publishers

Nope, this is an indie game which has been in the works before Planet Zoo was revealed. The game is made by Blue Meridian and published by Crytivo and it runs on Unity engine, not on Cobra like Frontier games. The price will be about 30 bucks on early access launch.

Not the same game
Not the same engine
Not the same developers
Not the same publisher
Not even the same look and feel

Nothing shady going on at all

Not a scrap of what you said is remotely accurate.

Jesus, now I remember why I began to hate anything dinosaur or tycoon related. Because the prehistoric kingdom "cult following" are not only obnoxious but self righteously annoying. Frankly they might be one of the sole reason I dislike anything paleontology related. Thanks for ruining, my passion. :steamsad:

Perhaps it would be better to close this thread, as it only seems to be going sideways.
