Mammoth Steppe Enclosure: A series of natural barriers and zones all within one fenced off area to replicate this region in Pleistocene Eurasia. The first zone would be an open plain with Wooly mammoths and Rhinos grazing and traveling in herds. The second zone, separated via moat, would be a shrouded forest with Megaloceros herds poking about. The final zone would be a rocky cliff face with a series of cave systems and sparse vegetation in which Cave Bears can be observed.

One of the first things I'll probably do is create a park in sandbox mode with themed enclosures based on time period, fossil formation (Morrison, Hellcreek, etc.) and match the appropriate animals that most likely lived with one another within (trying to be as natural and accurate as possible, with the likely environment/climate type and plantlife), all the while trying to make the park as aesthetically pleasing to look at as well :D.

The one big issue I could see with this is trying to get your animals not to eat each other

I just wanna build a good zoo that caters to the needs of both men and beasts alike. How hard could it be...?

Nah, not really, that's IF you put them together. I will be keeping herbivores and carnivores seperated from one another. The trick is to create natural looking barriers to keep them seperated (fences hiding in rock and cliff formations and such), yet still make it look like a single enclosure and/or a whole. It's the same trick you can use with Zoo Tycoon 2. This is already possible within the current demo, which I've tried and looks really wonderful by the way.

That said, I like your idea for a Mammoth Steppe enclosure, it's simular to what I've had in mind for some of the zones. :)

Wait, get this: some Struthiomimus (Gallimimus), some Edmontosaurus, some Pachyrhinosaurus, maybe some Edmontonias, remove that pesky modern grass, put some plants and trees down, slap a little river in there, shove some large stones half way into the ground all over the little river... BAM! Horshoe Canyon Formation exhibit! I would also like to make a Two Medicine Formation exhibit but sadly Orodromeus, Maiasaura, Einiosaurus and Daspletosaurus didn't make it... especially poor Daspletosaurus, as it would have been nice to have a smaller relative of Tyrannosaurus... anyways, BAM!

Ok cool. That’s what I kinda guessed you meant but I was not sure. It all sounds great!

All of your ideas are great :D

On my side, I will certainly made an Pleistocene themed island. But I will also, make a personalised ecosystem, with so many choices I certaintly will be able to build something.

Just imagine an Paracetherium herd (never understand why they changed the name in the 90's), with parasaurolophus around them.

Oh, I almost forgot! Why Prenocephale rather than Pachycephalosaurus? It looks weird with that short face and Pachycephalosaurus is so iconic and stuff...

I guess they chose Preno over Pachy because it makes a good starter dino (at least a better starter than a Pachy) and I'm really just speculating here, but considering how Pachy's ontogeny is a bit of a mess, Preno was the safer option. Sure, its ontogeny might be messy too, but at least it's more obscure species so less people can get offended if they get it wrong.

I think one of the other reasons is that they probably wanted to include another Mongolian dinosaur to the list and Prenocephale is an interesting addition. It's also a (sort of) contemporary of both Protoceratops and Velociraptor, which makes it the ideal candidate for an arid desert like Mongolian dinosaur exhibit.

You mean to say Pachychephalosaurus is not weird looking? (:D
