I'm sad to say i'm very disappointed with this game. I absolutely love MDickie's wrestling games, but so many features are missing from this one, that i just can't recommend it.
No gore, no limb loss, no backstage area, and the whole game feels like a crappy alpha. Every time i click the right mouse button, some weird button appears that has no function, and shouldn't be in the game. It feels like i'm in developer mode and i have no idea what i'm doing. And what's up with the game speed? The standard framerate is atrocious, and if i increase the speed in the options menu, the whole game starts to run too fast!

So over all, i can't recommend this unless they patch it up, and put the missing features back in. Until then, it's better to just go to MDickie's website, and download Wrestling MPire Remixed. That's what i did anyway, and i'm having fun.

UPDATE: Unfortunately MDickie's games don't seem to work on newer computers anymore, but there's a fix for that: Start the game, ctrl + alt + del, task manager, right click on the game in task manager, 'Go to details', set priority to high, go back to the game.
This is the only fix i found, and it may cause a few minor graphical glitches. It's best to bring up the task manager after you launched the game but BEFORE you see the first loading screen, because for some reason this minimizes the glitches.

First off I liked Hard Time, so I know that MDickie titles can be a little chaotic.

But Jesus, these controls. This interface. This is the first time I have ever requested a refund of a game based solely on those two things, but you have to see it to believe it. Playing this game is like trying to drive a car that doesn't have a steering wheel.

I'll try and break it down...

BOOKING CAREER:

I tried a booking career first because that's what I really wanted to do. I send the wrong wrestlers out there quite often... somtimes the wrestlers on the card aren't the same as the guys who walk out, and other times I accidently click the wrong button. That's easier to do than you think, because the game has this bizarre hybrid controller/keyboard configuration that doesn't work at all, and there are no prompts like "Are you sure you want to send this injured guy out to wrestle?". Whenever you push a button, the effects are immediate and completely irreversible.

It's easy to screw up contract negotiations like this, too. All I can tell you about that is that the A button increases the amount of money you're offering, the X button lowers it, and there is seemingly no way to adjust the duration of a contract even though the appearance of the screen leads you to believe that you can. If you hit B, it cancels the negotations altogether and you won't be able to reopen them again until the following week.

I can't count the number of times that I said something like, "No, wait... ♥♥♥♥!!!!", trying to get this game to do what I want it to do, clicking the wrong button, and having everything get messed up. You wouldn't think that would be a problem with the booking part of the game, with a management sim, but it sure is.

You are also required to control either one of the wrestlers, or the referee, or a manager during the match phase, which doesn't make much sense if all you're trying to do is book matches.

The way the wrestlers are presented in lists is a disaster, too. They're in no particular order, and without specifically clicking on the wrestler you won't know things like his/her age or tag team partner.

So booking didn't work out.

WRESTLING CAREER:

I wanted to book, but that wasn't happening so I tried to wrestle. Opened the tutorial.

My first task was to 'double tap' to dash forward. Fooling around with the controls, I accidently switched the wrestler I was controlling and took over the coach who was training me. Why would you want to do things like that, as a player? Anyway, I got my own guy back and never did get a dash going, unless a forward roll is a dash. While I was working on this double tap, the coach picked up a metal chair and started beating the crap out of me with it, which hindered my efforts to learn the controls somewhat.

It's crazy because in all respects Wrestling Revolution 3D seems like a game I would really like. But it's just all over the place with the controls. Unplayable.

Cheap mobile port with low framerate. Older version was way better.

I was waiting for this since Mat Dickie announced that it'll be on steam,,,,
but now after I purchased it, the game isn't even running in 30fps.

Unfortantly while I would like to recommend this game being a fan of the developer's work for many years now I can't because of a game breaking bug where the game runs at 25% of it's intended speed. (15fps should be running at 60fps) This makes controling the game very sluggish and the animation very jerky.

Without the bug Wrestling Revolution 3D would be a fantastic indie developer effort that adds plenty to the wrestling gendre as a whole. Has one of the most intresting carear modes you will ever find in a game of this type allowing the player to either become a wrestler or a wrestling promotion owner and with all the pitfalls you'd might expect from your chosen carear path. This game does not sugarcoat the problems that can happen like an WWE game might.

Also you can have 30 man hardcore, dual ring battle royales if you wish...

I want to love this game, since I have spent hundreds of hours on WMP. After checking a few important things, I sadly had to get a refund for now, since the game is not playable for me.

(I only play those games for the Manager/Booking feature and just happen to enjoy some of the gameplay features)

+ Technical improvements over WMP, including less crashes and controller support (not perfect though)
+ Lots of match types
+ Good enough CAW (create a wrestler)
+ Randomization Feature to create a unique universe with one click
+ Stack 3 Ladders on top of each other and Superplex your opponent from the top through a flaming table

- A HUGE step down in terms of menu design. WMP has never been good in that regard, but now it is absolutely unplayable, if you are going for a Booking Career
- No sorting features anymore
- It's a pain to scroll through the list of wrestlers, since it is designed for Smartphones and not optimized for mouse controls in the least
- You can't seem to rename your federation
- FPS problems even on high-end systems
- Overall Clunkyness (normal for MDickie games and I don't mind as much)
- "Run" is bound to "Z", which is a no-go, since german keyboards have the "Y" in place of the "Z". Wouldn't be a problem, unless...
- ... you can't rebind keys!

All in all, I just can not recommend this game on PC at the moment. I will repurchase and recommend this game, once the keyboard&mouse problems are resolved and the menu gets more features in booker mode. All the other issues are something I have expected anyways.

As of now, Wrestling Mpire Remix for PC and Booking Revolution for Android are the superior games.

TLDR: This game is buggy as ♥♥♥♥ and you're better off playing the older version Wrestling MPire Remix for free or playing No Mercy for the N64 or...literally any other wrestling game.

I've been playing MDickie games for a long time now and it befuddles me how he never seems to improve. Somehow this game is even worse than the games he made in 2008 and 2012. I will grant that this is definitely a PC port of a mobile game, but it's honestly ridiculous how much of a downgrade this is from his previous wrestling games. Though it should be noted that "God's gift to gaming" has had hands down the worst AI since he made the move to 3d games. The thing to know about this, and all MDickie games, is that ♥♥♥♥ just happens. For no reason. Everything is seemingly random but apparently all goes back to your attributes. But since your Skill attribute dictates your ability to do reversals and to do submission holds its almost worthless putting your points into anything else save toughness and stamina. Do not let yourself get tricked into thinking your special meter is anything more or less than an indicator for if you can execute your finisher or not. As much as MDickie wants this to be, as much as he wants you to think his games are call backs to it, this is not No Mercy. This is worse. All that said if you can handle frustratingly stupid AI (the ref will sometimes just stand there instead of counting your pin), frequent bugs (I've had a wrestler stay on his knees in the middle of the ring, completely paralyzed there with nothing able to hit him or move him, a wrestler grapple me from halfway across the ring, a wrestle grapple me on the mat through the apron), and incredibly repetitive game play, it's a good way to kill a couple hours after work. A time waster game and let's play fodder. 4/10.

I am a big MDickie fan. I love playing his games and I remember playing Wrestling MPire a lot back in the day. However, as I first saw that WR3D was going to be on Steam, I was very excited. I expected it to be the same port like how it was on mobile. However, I can't express the disappointment with not just 1 issue but multiple issues as well. This is very sad too, considering I'm a MDickie fan and I love playing his games. But, overall WR3D just didn't cut it for me.
WR3D is a very fun game. I enjoy playing it on mobile and I even find it more fun than most wrestling games. However, as I bought it on Steam, overall it just seemed so different than how it was on mobile. The framerate was lower, the controls were a little bit sloppy, and overall it just seemed so downgraded from the mobile version. Not to mention, half the features are missing as well that makes MDickie's games so fun, like some matches, some blood, and overall the majority of the features from the mobile version. The price is way overpriced too. While it is still fun considering the promos and what it is, I was very disappointed and had me turning back to the mobile version. I would buy this for the story and some of the customization it offers, but overall I would buy it on mobile to be honest.

Full disclaimer ive played the mobile version and get what this is trying to do but for $16 CAD i cant justify paying money for this when the mobile version is free

Wrestling Revolution 3D is designed by one person Matt Dickie and he has one purpose, cater to the crowd that misses the old school design of earlier wrestling titles like wwf no mercy for the n64, now its made its way to pc and for fans of the mobile game youll be happy to know its the same game you loved and played on your phone or tablet for the most part
Problem is its the same game you can play on your phone or tablet for free but it cost 10 dollars and no gore or limb loss

The presentation is the same as mobile devices from the stiff animations and the piss poor framerate, to the blatent buttons shown on screen and blocky character models its clear that no effort went into updating the presentation, this isnt a mobile device your watching here this is PC version
Controls are very pick up and play that is if you play with controller, which reminded me of those glory days of wwf no mercy for the n64
Problem is its also reminded me of the bad things about those times too like horrendous collision detection, terrible camera, bad ai, lots of bugs, and some of the worst clipping ive seen in a wrestling game in some time
Audio is passable with no mercy sound effects and ok music, whats not passable though is the lack of any voice work
I get your trying to be like the n64 but can we get something modern here
If you are a fan of the mobile version youll be happy to know nothing been removed so all the features are here your one on ones, tag team, 6 man elimination, and all your non copyright infringing wrestlers you name something from the mobile version its here
It has a decent career mode and got some nice stat building in form of training so how you perform really depends on what you put your training and attributes  into which provides a sense of challenge not being able to just sweep through everyone like 2k games
I choose David because he looks like Sandow
also worrying about things like creative control over your character, health and guaranteed money was a nice touch on a well thought out career mode.
Booking mode also fun too being a gm, signing wrestlers from other promotions and booking a better show then eveyone else, worrying about ratings and cash flow
This made me miss that 2k doesnt do anything similar in there games and i want to see more wrestling games with this mode in mind
Overall Wrestling Revolution 3D isnt
A terrible game its just one that doesnt really revolutionize the genre, while it has some nice features that can be fun  nostalga at times the excellent career mode cant stop the future endevour for being a botch machine, just get it for free on your phone

-Convoluted as ♥♥♥♥ controls
-Better than WWE 2k-whatever but not even close to as fun as Fire Pro.

You can try it if you want, I'll probably keep playing it just out of
morbid curiosity that the controls and gameplay can't be this bad
if it has this many good reviews and seems like it could be fun.
But tbh at this point in my life I have a million better things to do with my time.
If you're a wrestling fan or a nostalgia junkie, like me, just get Fire Pro Wrestling instead.
