Dead characters, how to find, revive???

A couple guys in my career mode have been killed (sorry RIP) Now i cant find them anywhere in the game? are they gone and do i have to reset? if so im guesssing i have to input all real names again? sorry if a newb post but im a frickin newb with this game :)

there dead so they are dead but new characters will come into the game

Dead characters can be found by clicking the magnifying glass on the top of the screen where you see all the companies. There you can search them by the first letter of their name. However, some people might not appear there because I'm pretty sure the dead people data is used to create newcomers instead of just making a completely new character. Also, if you're played multiple different saves, the dead people from other saves will be there too even though they're still alive and usable in the current save.

thanks bro, ive realised the best way is to, edit all names and create characters I want (Nate Diaz :p) then back up current option. that way when i lose characters thru death in career i can restore to back up and still have my edited/real names and any edited characters.

i was unaware you could do that my mistake

so, that magnifying glass goes away really quickly for me and I'm unable to select it. Any tips?
