There is a mod which is a HD version of the game still WIP so don't worry :) Maybe TWC will make a come back in the near future..
also TWC (1-3) Was without coding. The reason so much was possible is because every file MDickie used was sitting there in a folder and could literally be edited in paint which helped mods work very easy. Sadley with new technology there comes changes. Even 2K had to remove a lot and are barley adding back to their franchise. So let's hope MDickie makes some great upgrades that makes modding easier and also adds back the things we loved in the past.
Remember this is THE MOBILE VERSION of the video game. But it's back on PC at least and I really hope there's some updates to this version exclusive to steam. Right now this is just a test run I'm sure to see how things go and MDickie will first upload HD textures and then work on higher quality audio (It's 2017 dude. I understand it makes the game run smoother but it's 2017 my man lol)
I'm just glad we can jump off the top of a cage after 15 years. I remember when we couldn't even climb the cage and went right through or couldn't even escape.... hell theres a time wrestlers literally would go through the cage as if it didn't exist and it was just a cool look for the ring lol. Now we've evolved and have DOORS TOO!!
Give it time, Mat can easily release patches now thanks to Steam. I remember the old days of waiting for the MDickie newsletter and a link to a .zip file patch.
The current engine is using a different, though still accessible, 3D format. Flare3D is free for noncommercial use, but I don't think you'll be able to take advantage of the Character Studio biped without Matt publishing his Max files again. Also, this time around there are a lot of files compiled into the SWF, where they are slightly more inflexible and require additional software to access.
