I still got 16 fps everywhere though. That's completely unplayable. Also, since this is PC, custom controls would've been nice. I hope it comes in a patch.
That's not an acceptable design decision. At the very least, tie 120% game speed to 60 fps and then break it after that :(
I'm pretty sure there is 400% more action in 60fps comapred to 15fps. Seriously man, if you had to go with 15fps for some technical reason just say so, don't act like it was a stylistic choice. Nobody bought the "30fps feels more cinematic" excuse from AAA developers, nobody is going to buy the "15fps has more action" excuse from you.
If the game is running for you the way it is running for me (on my laptop that barely runs any games), it is not unplayable. You're just expecting too much because you have taught your brain to expect too much. Same was with the PS3 version of GTA V. Everyone kept ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about frame rate, I saw no problem anywhere and coud enjoy the game like it was just fine. This "frame rate x is better than frame rate y" is just in your head. If you didn't know about frame rates, you wouldn't notice a difference between them.
Definitely not in your head, but if it doesn't bother you that's great. That's why I suggested have the option for 60FPS, and if people don't like the animations or it doesn't feel right to them, give them the option for the 15-20fps lock. I imagine it's all hardcoded with the speed and he won't be able to do any of that though unfortunately, just judging from the lack of reply to this, not 100% sure.
Also, if you want to know what UNPLAYABLE is, play basically any of his old games on newer Windows versions on fullscreen mode and you see an unplayable game. You're lucky to make it through the main menu without rage quitting, let alone character creation. This one runs just fine.
The moves are animated in such a a way that they are 17fps animations. The only way to make them 60fps is to either make the game run really fast, or for him to go through and reanimate everything completely from scratch.
I don't know why he thought to release the game on PC without being bothered to actually make a proper PC version. In any other game it would have been slammed with lots of negative reviews, but for some reason fans of this game seem oblivious to it.
