Game breaking Royal Rumble Glitch (Universe Mode)

Playing universe, i finally got to the royal rumble and when i start the match, no one can eliminate each other. I check the match rules and it says: over the top rope: disabled. Didn't screw around with the match, just started it and over the top rope is off? I tried to play and whenever i throw someone on the ropes, they bounce off.
I tried the rumble match in another save and it worked fine so im annoyed and confused.
My only option is to simulate it now? Wtf. Needless to say this is game breaking for me and im pretty mad about it. Does anyone know of a fix?
