Mods?

How long does it normally take to get mods? I mean updated mods since that's probably the main reason why I bought the game. It bores me so much when by January most characters have changed

yeah I admit this is also the reason I plan on buying the PC version. PC version should always be the best version but online will always be better on the consoles. But I REALLY beg someone to get ride of the lock between matches against genders ASAP.

It should reflect real life. So the Rock cannot fight opposite gender, but James Ellsworth technically can. Stephanie mcmahon can fight opposite gender... u get the point.

As somebody who back engineers the games I will say this, if the game is 'like last year' in certain aspects, then it will be the matter of hours before the first low level mods are out and the first steps are being taken to dismantle the game.
If 2K have done something I daren't even mention as to not screw ourselves over then they will have made life much more difficult for modders and I personally will be abandoning future investment in the 2K games, I buy on the PC for the sole purpose of modding and cba with consoles, I leave them for my kids to play on.

I will not mention what that specific 'thing' is that I fear because there is still time to shaft us modders.
Heres a tip lads, if you don't like people modding your game then you clearly have an insecurity issue over your own games worth, other companies embrace modders and even learn from them HUMBLY!

Oh and no I aren't full of it, heres my roster of 498 characters (100 CAW + 398 Uniques), I am PerfectPlex on Smacktalks forums, I spend hours back engineering the games file by file.

The only mods I see that are remotely useful are the ones that allow you to upload music or videos for your CAWs. That should be a feature already in the game but apparently is too hard to develop. Most of the other mods just dont bring much to the table if you want to be real about it.

Not hard for PC, they limit their engine to stay in line with the console, mods will get around that again.

Umm, and what would you consider within the realms of wrestling engines mods worth 'bringing to the table'?
Keeping in mind we don't own motion capture studios so animations other than carrying them over from the previous games (which has been done) really is unfair to expect and a little unrealistic in demands if we really want to be real about it.

I'm really hoping for a mod to allow me to use a female character through the career/universe mode.

I don't even mind if the game treats the character as a male, so long as I can a female model.

You can already do this in 2K17 with a simple hex change Serrassi, indeed it will treat them as male however but will allow you to be any of your female characters, commentary just will say "he", "him" or "his".
So long as 2K haven't played dirty on their file system it will be very possible again for 2K18.

I played 2k17 on ps4 since the pc version was coming out later so I dont think mods were possible there.

Is it possible to mod Hogans comeback taunt into this game? I don't think it was done for 2k17.

Is it possibele to mod a free camera so we can set up our own camera positions in the match?
Would love to change the camera in the royal rumble
