Best WWE for MyCareer?
I want to buy a WWE to create a wrestler and start a career. Which one is the best? 2K16, 17 or 18?

Depends on what type of career you're looking to play. If you just want to play a more-or-less endless career, with the odd storyline, then 15-17. 18 is more like a story mode, from what I've played. Seems a lot more linear. I kinda got bored of 18's, due to the linear style. You pretty much have objectives, that you have to fullfill. If you don't, then you have to retry. You seemingly can't just lose, and carry on. I'm not sure about post story. I've heard it becomes less linear, but I might have heard wrong.

If you want a career where you can do whatever, then Universe mode is probably your best bet, in 18 at least.

Last wwe game I played was Smackdown vs Raw 2006 on the PS2, and I have no idea how the career mode looks like. Does it work like, don't know, create your wrestler and gain xp or unlock new moves as you progress through the story?

Yeah, you play matches and gain vc/points. In this years rendition you spend vc on 'loot boxes'. Loot boxes unlock new moves/costumeparts/face paints and so on. Points allow you to enhance your wrestlers stats.

You need 2,500/5000/10,000 for the three types of loot boxes. You can purhcase them over and, over.

So, should I go for the 2K18? I see you're playing it. Give a me a cold-hearted opinion

Well 2k18 has the better graphics, so if they're your thing, sure. I mean, the previous career modes were more like Universe mode anyway. So, I guess 2k18 is the best choice. If you don't like the career mode you can always go to Universe mode. If it were me, I'd go for 2k18

Career mode is ok but it gets pretty boring after a while. I think I spent more time cutting promos and reading backstage text conversation than I did in ring wrestling. It just won't live up to those early Smackdown games that were on the PS2. However, it's an ok game and I would reccomend picking it up when the price drops. I can't reccomend paying full price for this game.

Of course I'm going to buy it after a price drop (or from other sites, you know what I mean). Haven't bought a game at full price since 2013 when I started playing on PC
