1) I assume the +1 refers to a bonus to your d20 roll whenever you use one of those powers (otherwise, the higher values on the better gear would be ludicrous)
EDIT: it appears it affect damage too - my paladin's at will damages went up when I upgraded his sword
2) The gold part is where you can move if you use BOTH your actions as movement for that turn (think of it as a dash)
3) This one I'm not sure, but since I only seem to be getting the outer chests so far I'm thinking the bigger ones come along later in the campaign (or maybe on the higher difficulty levels)
4) When a character dies, they come back on their next turn by using a healing surge - the amount of HP they come back with is their surge value. Healing surges as shared by the entire party and of you run out of healing surges, you lose that quest (but get to keep items and gold you found up to that point)
5) Yeah, it kinda sucks - the Tabaxi bard has a passive ability that lets her dodge traps easier so I usually just run her right over them and don't even worry about disarming
6) This one I'm unsure of as I haven't used my adrenaline for anything other than avoiding Encounters so far
7) I don't think so - if you are on the turn of the hero "controlling" the monster you can click on the monster portrait on the right and get stats - at this time I don't think there's a way to know if it
s not the controlling character's turn - this is one of the things I'm hoping they address
8) Straw man counts as a hero - if you can manage to lure an enemy into an adjacent spot he will attack it (but he can't move, so I'm not sure how viable he is)
If I'm being completely honest, I'd be fairly lost if I had never played the board games - the "tutorial" leaves a lot to be desired for people coming in fresh :-\
Gotta get myself a manual of the board game.
What's the DC for disarming traps?
Edit: This might help:

"this is something we are planning to add in a next update."
Here's a link to the rule book on the publisher's website[wizkids.com], in case it's revised in the future and not updated on BGG.
