Mercenary Contracts: Creating a Mercenary

Mercenary Contracts allow you to change your characters into character cards, which can then be traded to other players for Vis or other items.

To turn one of your characters into a Mercenary, you must first purchase a Mercenary Permit from the Premium Shop. Then you’ll need to pay a visit to the Mercenary Agent. You’ll find him in Pegadilla, the alleyway in the Port of Coimbra.

In order to become a mercenary, the character must:

- Be level 50 or higher

- Not have any items equipped

- Purchase a Mercenary License

You must also have at least one other character in your active party when turn the leader into a mercenary.

NOTE: Turning a character into a Mercenary comes with a penalty of ~20% of that character’s gained experience. For example, a level 100 character would only be about level 94-95 after becoming a mercenary. This experience can be re-gained after they are hired and activated again.

Oh god, thank you so much for the utmost info! So i have to create that "Event char" first right in order to convert it.

I might be wrong as its been a while for me, but i think characters made with (Event) Cards are not tradeable.

Actually, if you go to barracks, you might see text above your characters names: [Collection or Collect], these are not tradable, so keep that in mind, only characters without that text possible to convert and trade.

And as person mentioned before, event characters (which you receive while ingame events or from chests) are not tradable as well.

As for those characters, which you recruit by quests, they can be converted traded.

I'm confused. The event card itself said its not tradable and User Ri said its tradable?

It is tradable, via a Mercenary Contract. The card itself cannot be traded. The user Ri just replied to the comment that said the Event character card isn't tradeable in any form.

Basically, the Event character card cannot be traded. You have to create them and use a Mercenary Contract to convert them to the Mercenary before they can be traded.

There is also another type of Event character, namely the Collection Character Card. This one, however, cannot be traded, at all. If you create the character using this type of card it'll have a suffix to the character as [Collection] and cannot be made a Mercenary, thus, cannot be traded at all.

Normal: carđ - tradable, char - can merced
Event: carđ - untradable, char - can merced
Collection: carđ - untradable, char - cant merced
