That depends on which server you play on.
Ferrucio is technically for SEA, Espada NA and Jilberto EU but that's not a rule.
Ferrucio is the most populated and oldest server in contrast with Jilberto which is the newest, but there are more things in Ferrucio and Jilberto Market than Espada.
I used to play on Ferrucio but it was a bit laggy for me so playing currently on Jilberto. Never played on Espada except a few time to check the MM
You can easily find people who are also willing to help the newest players.
Although there is no botter in Andromeda, you still need to pay cash if you want good characters (but no gambling, you can choose the char you want), and there are barely updates. Correct if I'm wrong but from what I saw, the last character available is Chungha, and the dual weapon system is still not implemented.
If you want to have a full access of new patch, better stay on official servers.
Not gonna encourage you to spend 5 years of your time in this dying game.
Publishers are desperate for money to the point that they're also using bot to farm items and sell them to the 'black market' as an unofficial business.
Not only they get money from their official micro-transactions, but also from real-money trading. Shameless of a company being handled poorly.
If you're more into the gameplay and the story (which I found quite entertaining, although there are some bad translation and grammatical errors), then you can highly enjoy this game. Soundtrack are moreover awesome.
Imagine making fake quit discussion
Andromeda already started updating all the new content from official, and no; you don't have to spend a cent if you wish to. All the premium items are available in the Feso shop and of course, Feso is free. Questing will also get you pioneer journals which give you character summon stone from which you can get characters like Canna. In the end, we all have the freedom to choose our servers though.
If you're playing on Jilberto, don't hesitate to drop a word :)
