Ranged / Magic Characters Suggestion for PvE

Hello. I'd like to know what ranged or magic characters that are worth investing nowadays? Are the (non-cash) RNPC still decent? The focus is solely PvE and maybe raids sometime down the line. For reference, my old lineup during sGE was SFL, Cadet Lio, and ETS.

I last played during Armonia episodes and now there are so many new characters I don't recognise. @@ ...except I do know Sergeant Barrel because he's everywhere lol.

Magic Characters are viable for end game raids etc.... so most likely they are stronger than ranged characters. There are some non-cash magic characters worth getting such as Charlotte, Aileen and Ion.

If you want rare ones... you can go for Canna and Miho are usually chosen. As for range dps.... sgt. barrol is pretty popular due to his OPness before, but now... he got nerfed so he needs Cadet Romina as support and higher family lvl to make him good.

It's good to hear Ion is still worth getting! Will recruit him first then as the other two characters are in areas far above my level/progress (Masters; about to finish Judgement Day).
Quite sad male characters aren't so popular.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any good shooters nowadays... perhaps Veil, Leonele, or Brunie but I wouldn’t say they that great anymore (mainly buffer/debuffer in case of Leonele and Brunie). As for magic there’s Selene, Ion, Sariel, Joshua, Aileen. Among the already mentioned, Sariel is top magic even against premium like Canna/Miho (Needs rings & 2 weapons, cube being main). Depending on who you team them up with, they could perform even better in raids. Now, if you planning to spend some cash, then can get Sgt. Barrol/Moon & C. Romina, Miho/Aisha/Rubiana/Aclla. It really depends your situation though, I’d personally not invest on Miho if need for quest and would instead get Aclla (even if Miho is more OP). Also, it may take a while to get characters like Joshua and/or Aileen, so hard to count on those.

I don't care for having the most OP character so don't worry about that. In the end, gear investment is what make them strong and enjoyable to play. Additionally, I tend to pick based on aesthetic so variety of suggestions are very appreciated. :)

I shall add Sariel into my list for non-cash characters. I was interested to use him previously but the old server was about to close then. The cash ones you suggested are quite tempting as well since most from what I see uses 1 weapon only.

Sgt. Barrol is still stronger than R. Caisse in my opinion, despite the nerfing his Tote still deals lots of damage. R. Caisse better for PvP!
