Hungarian Ring puzzles

Does anyone have good tips for solving the Hungarian Ring puzzles found in some of Artifex Mundi's games? Like the one found in the Bonus part of this particular game.

I usually succeed in getting very close to the solution, as shown in these screenshots:

But for the last part... I have no idea what to do. Trial and error seem to work sometimes, but I'd like to know how to solve it properly.

Any advice, especially focussed on these "almost" solutions such as in the screenshots, would be greatly appreciated.

Interestingly, I've found several walkthrough videos on YouTube and every single of them seems to skip this ring puzzle :)

I wonder if this specific puzzle is just very difficult... Would be great to see someone actually solve it.

(I saw a Let's play on Youtube once for Grim Legends 2: The Dark Swan. Explained the concept and the solution pretty well.)

Someone really solved it. :D

I remembered this one when I saw it. Really messy one. Yeah, I also skipped it. Though in general I really like them but this one made my nose bleed - not in a good way.

Wow, somehow I missed this video while I only found people skipping this puzzle :)

I guess the mind-boggling trick happens around 19:23. Even though the purple ring is already "finished", it is still used to make some changes in the big ring to get the blue and red right... No less than witchcraft, this is! :D

The red-blue circle can be solved by first moving all red balls into the large ring in a continuous fashion. You can do this by rotating the small ring so that the top intersection is red, then rotating the large ring clockwise until the intersection is blue again. Repeat this until the smaller circle completely blue and the first red ball just above the top intersection. image[imgur.com].

From here, do the following:

- 6 times: rotate the large ring counter-clockwise, rotate the small ring counter-clockwise.
- 5 times: rotate the large ring counter-clockwise.
- 5 times: rotate the large ring counter-clockwise, rotate the small ring counter-clockwise.

Not a solution, but you can safely skip this one, it doesn't impact any of the achievements.
