Developed by ex-SNK devs and published by Arc Sys, so it has a solid fighting pedigree.
So why isn't this game more popular? Because the roster is composed entirely of waifus and lolis.
pros:
-excellent sprites
-buttery smooth gameplay
-some of the dialogue is legit hilarious
-good amount of single-player content
-good sized roster, and each character has a rich moveset
-arcanas (creatures/animals/whatever you pair up with who have their own set of specials, supers, passive buffs, etc.)
-deep fighting system (clash system, guard cancels, complex dash system, recovery system, throw tech, several different metered systems, finding synergy between fighters and arcanas, etc.)
cons:
-some of the voices seem like they were recorded on a cheap microphone
-they added very little content to this version over the previous one, but charged full price for it anyway while also selling additional DLC chars. I should add that this was crowdfunded on top of that. the DLC chars should have been a part of the base game.
-Kamui and Parace are cheap AF as bosses (full-screen unblockable attacks with priority over everything that can hit you even when you're down? yea, how about no.)
-achievements based around online play
-some crazy button inputs for critical heart attacks
neutral:

-fan service, but not any more than street fighter or KOF
-after story mode is just a visual novel
