Network Play questions

If I am playing online Co-Op, can 1 client have 2 or more players at that location?
Example:
2 clients:
Client 1: Has 2 local players
Client 2: Has 3 local players

Or does each player need thier own client running?

We don't currently have a hybrid hotseat/network mode, so each player will have to be running their own client, or all players would have to be sharing the same computer.

Is there any plan to implement this feature? Or request the feature?
