Close the game (this is important). Then delete the Options.txt file in /Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2. Then restart the game. it will revert to the default settings.
Note that you must close the game before doing this, or it will generate another Options file with the dodgy settings when you close it.
I am unable to reproduce this. Saving in the force selection phase should allow you to recruit troops when you load the game in again. If you press Accept and then save in the deployment phase, however, you won't be able to recruit more units when you load the game in again because force selection is already over.
If the latter is not what happened, it would be helpful to look at your saved game. If you take your query over to the Slitherine tech support board
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=488
then we should be able to arrange for you to send me the saved game file to check.
I don't know of any way of doing that on this board.
Not seen anybody complain about the game not lauching, but since I have over 300 games that work I doubt it is my computer.
Will try and repurchase after some patches to see if this helps. Looks really interesting :).
Sorry to hear that. What, if any, error messages did you get?
Look in /Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2
There should be a file called Options.txt
In it there should be lines that look like this:
RezX 1920
RezY 1080
Make sure you don't have the game open, then change them to match your screen resolution.
That should hopefully sort out the issue.
I've validated the files, restarted steam, restarted my computer, uninstalled the game and re-downloaded, none of which has worked. Please help.
I am not technical support, but can I suggest you also post this in the Slitherine technical support forum - here:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=488
As it probably gets checked more often than the Steam one. It is also easier to see when there are new posts on the Slitherine forum than it is on the sticky threads here.
thanks, was able to fix it with this info.
error code: 0xc000005 (this is an access denied code, no?)
error address: 0x0057c05e
Any ideas?
I was able to play the tutorial battles fine.
I did modify the resolution and anti-aliasing to their highest levels after the tutorial...
They are working on a fix...
The fix will be in the first patch - probably some time next week.
