Transcendence Victory Condition, and Improvement/Mod Suggestion!
Hello all, I am just writing regarding the victory conditions on my website http://www.civbeguide.com/bdls-civbe-guide/civbe-transcendence-victory-condition/. I am wondering if you all had the same experience when you build the Mind Flower, no one really bothered you besides the aliens?

I do wonder because it makes tons of sense, if after 20-30 turns everyone on the planet will have their brains fried and connected to the planet. I am very sure many, especially if you are not the Harmony affinity will be really really ♥♥♥♥ed if not quite frightened!

I suggest someone make a mod so aliens and other factions will attack you every turn! It does make the scenario more real, and more interesting and challenging. :D Anyone? If so I will also follow and give comments!

My article is listed on below and I share it here as well:

CivBE: Transcendence Victory Condition
Demonstrating Harmony at it’s Finest
“I do question if it is really the human way?”

To win with the Transcendence Victory Condition is to be in Harmony with nature and be “as one” with the planet. It is more like in James Cameron’s movie “Avatar” where the natives Na’vi are together as one with the conscious of the whole, known as Eywa. It is a very possible path but I would say is more of a daring Sci-Fi story then remotely possible.

I do question if it is really the human way? I do believe by our human nature it is not in our gene to seek harmony to such extent. It is an interesting take however as I thought if there can be further advancements after human beings are “in one” with the planet? What if it can take on another form and move forward like the Zerg race in the game Starcraft 2 by Blizzard Entertainment? But this victory condition to me is the most extreme Sci-Fi scenario of all. It is very interesting however and I love the idea of it.

Key Condition(s):
•Research Swarm Intelligence
•Research Transgenics
•Research Nanorobotics
•Reach Harmony Level 13
•Build the Mind Flower Project (Requires all the above)
•Protect the Mind Flower for about 30 turns to be in harmony – It was said everyone, including the aliens will become hostile to raze the Mind Flower right after construction (The Mind Flower will die even with one touch). However most people had experienced that no one really cared. I think it is a pity. Best if they generate random aliens and anything to start massing and attacking that would be logical and fun!

There is currently no override that force the AI to attack you if you start building a victory wonder.
There is a mod that adds this feature. But in the end those are supposed to be the peacefull ways to win, focing everyone to go to war over it kinda goes against the concept.

Such a downright selfish and evil action would logically be opposed by anyone who doesn't wish to have their will usurped by a planetary hive mind.

Anybody undertaking this task should be fully prepared to defend it against a universal attack, the same way using a Planet Buster with the UN charter intact or rejecting the leader vote in SMAC would make every faction your enemy.
Plus, it would just make the endgame much more interesting.

I really don't think it would be very hard to make a condition where all factions declare war on anyone who starts the mind flower.

You got my point fully @Evil Vyse. I am wishing for the game not only to be more challenging, to really make sense to the game. Really think of it, if all you need to do is build the flower and nothing happens... there really lessen the sense of achievement, and also it doesn't make sense. Everyone should be pouring their forces over or even leaving the planet..

If you know about Blizzard's Starcraft, it is like if the Zerg race is "converting" you in 20 days (turns). What will you do?

But yeah if @zgrssd you are referring to that you cannot change from mods.. bummer :(
