How to activate Beacon?

I built the beacon and the quest popped up, but doesnt where to activate it.

All of the games Victory Structures can be clicked on when finished.
Once you've selected them there is a small greyed out icon above it's description box in the lower left.

I click on the beacon to activate, and it just gives me a grey circle? Nothing to do. Help?

its on the bottom left just above the empty description box.

i had this same problem and felt really stupid after figuring it out. you dont see it, but its there, and its painfully easy to spot after you do so for the first time.

you are not an idiot, the UI of the game is crap, everything is shades of grey, no contrast and no way to spot important stuff like the damn button on a beacon or a gate

Wasted a bunch of turns because I also never saw that itsy-bitsy tiny grey button in the very corner of the screen with the ocean in the background. Can't believe it is 4 years later and this was never improved.

Naw, it's been 10 years and still not fixed.
To activate it: Click on the beacon, an empty window with "Beacon" will show in the bottom left. On the top of that window on the left is a symbol. It's just above the shaded bars. Click on it.

Not sure why you'd think a game that hasn't been worked on for about nine years would have anything about it change. Dev's dropped this thing like a hot rock not long after Rising Tide released.
